In Limerick we stopped at a monument called the treaty stone. The stone is significant due to the fact that it was upon this rock where the Treaty of Limerick lay as it was signed in 1691.
It is evident that Eyre Square in Galway was once a medieval city. This vibrant shopping and dining area was filled with people on this mid-day, mid-week, visit. Fortunately the streets weren't cobblestone like the ones in Temple Bar in Dublin.
